COUNSELLING

What can I expect to receive? Pastoral care and counselling is available to anyone who sincerely feels the need in seeking godly counsel and guidance for their lives and their life situations. What type of counselling is offered? Counselling is available for: Individuals, couples (pre & post marital counselling), families and groups. What is the basis on which counselling is offered and why? All guidance and counselling is based on the Word of God (The Bible). Our resource is God’s Word and all counsel is subject to the Will of God for every individual, couple, family and group. Reasons for counselling with the Word of God as its basis:

• It is God who created man (Gen 2:7)


• God alone is wise (God the only wise…Rom 16:27)


• God is infinitely wise and does not have any lack (His understanding is infinite, unsearchable and unfathomable. To him belongs or with Him is wisdom, counsel and understanding… Psm 145:5; Rom 11:33; Job 12:13)


• God’s wisdom is absolutely superior and matchless in comparison to man’s wisdom (Is 55:8,9)


• Jesus Christ is the manifestation and manifold wisdom of God (Eph 3:10) and He is the source for all guidance and counsel
